LL.M. Transnational Commercial law- Aspects of Insurance Essay
LL.M. Transnational Commercial law- Aspects of Insurance - Essay Example He said; Lord Mustill recently reviewed the history of good faith and the need to ensure full disclosure in the case of Pan Atlantic Insurance Co v Pine Top Insurance Co4, where he pointed out that the formulation of insurance policy is largely dependent upon information furnished before the execution of the contract, therefore the inequality of information may be addressed only by full disclosure of all relevant information. In Australia, Section 21 of the Insurance Contracts Act of 1984 (Cth) clearly lays out the scope of duty of a party that is purchasing insurance to disclose all the information that may be relevant to an insurer. This would include all information that is necessary for the insurer to make an objective assessment of the situation in order to decide whether or not it is prepared to accept the risk that is involved. In the recent case of McCabe v Royal and Sun Alliance Life Assurance Australia Ltd5 1, Mrs McCabe applied for insurance, but her condition was diagnosed only after she had sent in her preliminary application. But although Ms McCabe was hospitalized subsequently, she did not submit her doctorââ¬â¢s report to the insurance Company not disclose details of her illness and hospitalization. In this case, the Court held that the insurance Company was entitled to avoid the policy because Mrs McCabe had not fully disclosed all the relevant information about her health which was v ital to the insurer in making a determination about insuring her life. While a person seeking insurance is entitled to expect that an insurance Company will conduct its own independent analysis in making an assessment about the risk, the person seeking insurance also has a duty to provide all relevant information and a failure to do so would provide grounds for avoidance of the policy. The nature of non disclosure is also

Public displays of Affection essay Essay
Is public displays a creative way of expressing young youths expressions of the world? Through this project I am investigation the meanings behind public displays whether it is right or wrong. There are many opinions that places public displays in a negative way, which many people would believe that it is way of damaging public properties. However Public displays brings a variety of meanings in a way of introducing colours that changes the mood of someone perception of the world. Colours that are used in public displays, in other words graffiti inspires many young street artists to overcome their fear and be spontaneous with their public views. I have chosen this particular topic because I want to discover the truth behind graffiti and why people have chosen to express their feelings through art instead of speaking out their minds. This is interesting as graffiti is a reflection on the relationship between art and society as society has the ability to change the boundaries and walls which defines what is art. Many people should start accepting that graffiti is art as it is a way of exploring different expressions through individuals. As being a young youth myself, I have begun my research by taking photos of street art in London and explored different colours and shapes. Whilst taking photos of public displays, I was inspired at each design as it brought out much interpretation both positive and negative of their views on society. This led me to take photos on young youth at my own school and display them as a way of showing how young youth behave in today`s society. During the start of my project, I have looked at many street artists and the one that inspired me the most is Banksy. Banksy explores a variety of shapes and meanings and expresses his political view in an artistic and creative way. What makes Banksy so different than other street artist is that he combines dark humour with graffiti and this is done in a distinctive stencilling technique. Through this project I would like to follow Banksy technique and combine it with my own work. By the end of the project, I would want to find out the meaning behind the public displays and the problems that many youth individuals face which are presented through street art.

Women s Work And Worship Of The First Century Churches
Women in Paulââ¬â¢s Letters: Women played an important role in the work and worship of the first century churches. In Paulââ¬â¢s letters he portrays women as equals to men. Paulââ¬â¢s ideas were to renew a community of Godââ¬â¢s people; including all races, sexes, and religious backgrounds. While some people will argue that Paul is all for the equality of women, others say that he is misogynistic. Some things that were written may sound harsh to our ears in todayââ¬â¢s society; however, when considering the era that these letters were written in, most of the things that were written would not have been taken in a bad way. In Paulââ¬â¢s letters women had various roles and positions, Phoebe was a deacon and a benefactor. Paul perceived Andronicus and Junia as ââ¬Å"prominent among the apostlesâ⬠. (Romans 16:7). In Romans Verse 12 he describes Tryphaena and Tryphosa as ââ¬Å"workers in the Lordâ⬠. While he didnââ¬â¢t really place restrictions or limits on women he did encourage women to wear a head dress while worshiping in Corinthians 11:2-17. He also stated in Corinthians 14:33b-36 that women should be silent in the churches. This contradicts his acceptance of women from his previous statements in Corinthians 11. In Romans 16:1-2 we are introduced to Phoebe who was a deacon and a benefactor. A benefactor is someone who gives money or helps a person for a cause. In the first few lines of Romans 16 it is said ââ¬Å"I commend to you our sister Phoebe, a deacon of the church in Cenchreae.
